On April 8th, we departed at 9:30 am after having breakfast and purchasing snacks. We drove for 3 hours and arrived at Changzhou Xinlong Ecological Forest at 13:30. We entered the venue at 14:30 and left at 20:30.

On April 9th, we left at 10:30 am to have lunch at Changzhou Wanda. We departed at 13:00 and drove for 7 hours straight to Wuhan.

Twists and Turns#

  • Stay in Hefei
    • When we arrived in Hefei, we didn't contact the landlord in advance, so we ended up calling the landlord on the street at midnight.
    • After finally getting through, we were ready to check-in, but the landlord unexpectedly asked us to add them on WeChat and transfer a deposit. Their attitude was also very poor.
    • Finally, we obtained the password through Meituan customer service and successfully entered the accommodation.
    • Although the landlord had a bad attitude at first, the accommodation was cheap, and the house was new and clean, so overall, we were quite satisfied with the stay.
  • Manghe Music Festival
    • Due to traffic control, we had to get off the car in advance and walk nearly 2 kilometers to the entrance.
    • The ticket collection process was the most confusing. Since we purchased the tickets on Weidian, we had to first queue to exchange for paper tickets and then queue again to exchange for wristbands. However, we couldn't exchange them and had to scan the QR code on the paper ticket to bind our identity information.
    • After exchanging the wristbands, we queued again to enter the venue. Our bags were searched, and then we had to individually swipe our ID cards to enter.
    • The entire entry process included fights, people demanding refunds, and chaos at the final step of swiping ID cards, resulting in all the barriers being opened and the crowd rushing in without any checks.
    • The entire process took over an hour, and we were under the scorching sun the whole time. There were no staff members guiding the queue at the ticket collection area, and the lines were chaotic. People were pushing each other forward, and after exchanging the tickets, there was no exit, so we had to squeeze through the crowd to leave.
  • Stay in Changzhou
    • On the day of departure, we received a call from the landlord at noon, saying that the homestay did not pass the fire inspection, so we couldn't stay. They offered two options: 1. Switch to another house, 2. Apply for a refund through the platform. Due to the proximity to the departure and the music festival, the prices of other accommodations had increased, and it would be troublesome to find another place, so we had to accept the room switch.
    • The layout of the community was also strange. We couldn't drive into the building where we stayed and had to circle around it. Finally, we managed to park the car and go upstairs.
    • The house was old, with only one bathroom, and it was noisy. The cleanliness was also not good, especially compared to Hefei.
    • During our meal, a security guard came to ask us to move our car.

Happy Moments#

  • On the night we arrived in Hefei, we went to a barbecue restaurant. The service was good, and the food tasted great. We had some beer, chatted, and had a great time.
  • The next morning, we found a local steamed bun shop near our accommodation. They had special sand soup, and both the steamed buns and sand soup were delicious. After that, we bought a lot of snacks from a nearby snack shop. They were cheap and had a wide variety. Although we couldn't finish them in the end, we were still happy when we bought them.
  • Although the organizers of the music festival were foolish, the lineup was great.
  • The trip was exciting from the beginning, and the live performance of Secondhand Rose was very charming. We were completely immersed in it.

Although it seems like there were many twists and turns and few happy moments, we had a great time joking and laughing together.
